TL;DR

Associate VHA Documentation Specialist (Federal): Documenting organizational processes and creating standard operating procedures for a finance organization during a re-organization with an accent on business process analysis, technology, and organizational structure. Focus on developing SOPs, creating employee handbooks, and designing process mappings to ensure seamless adoption.

Location: Remote, but candidates local to the DC Metro Area are strongly preferred due to potential ad hoc onsite work in Washington, D.C.

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 a year

What you will do

  • Design and implement a centralized documentation repository using platforms like SharePoint.
  • Develop functional documentation and create a new leader/employee handbook for organizational components.
  • Review and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with the future-state operating model.
  • Facilitate process mapping and workflow documentation to support transition planning and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional experience.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interact effectively with senior-level management and clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with the VA (Veterans Affairs) or within the Federal government.
