What you will do

• Architect, develop, and debug scalable backend services for distributed systems.
• Lead the delivery of non-functional requirements including scalability, availability, performance, and security.
• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and sharing best practices.
• Design and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure high reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and designers to deliver impactful features.
• Break down complex projects into actionable tasks and drive them through to completion.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Golang proficiency.
• Expertise in system design, concurrency, multi-threading, and distributed computing concepts.
• Experience building microservice architectures and developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex systems.
• Permanent right to work in the UK.
• Must be based in London or within a commutable distance.

Nice to have

• Experience working with high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), NoSQL databases, or big data analytics.
