What you will do

• Design and build cloud-native microservices in Go that serve as the backbone of a real-time payments platform.
• Develop highly available, low-latency, and scalable systems handling billions of payment requests.
• Take full ownership of services from initial design and implementation to deployment and production support.
• Improve observability and stability by defining and monitoring SLOs and SLIs across services.
• Collaborate within a flat, autonomous team using TDD/BDD and pair programming to ensure high code quality.
• Enhance disaster recovery (DR) testing across multi-cloud components.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
• Proven experience with Go and a passion for high-performance, robust software.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong commitment to clean code and software engineering best practices.
• Must be based in Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, or the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC).
