Oracle Engineer (Fintech)

Oracle Engineer (Fintech): Develop, deliver and support financial systems for high-profile clients across EMEA with an accent on Oracle PL/SQL, complex SQL statements, data modeling, and migrating Oracle Forms to Apex. Location: Cardiff (Hybrid / Flexible Working)

Salary: up to £55,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

What you will do

• Work with cross-functional agile teams to develop, deliver and support financial systems.
• Interpret business requirements, participate in user story refinement and sprint planning.
• Write lean technical specifications and maintain document templates.
• Drive migration of Oracle Forms to Apex and shape the Oracle function.
• Mentor junior colleagues and guide them through problem resolution.
• Produce quality products and fix defects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Oracle Engineer with knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
• Ability to create complex SQL statements, analyse data and model data structures
• Experience with Oracle database 12c and above
• Experience with modern tooling: GIT, Jenkins, Jira, Docker, Confluence

Nice to have

• Experience in Oracle Forms/Reports development
• Experience in Apex development and migration of Oracle Forms to Apex
• Experience of automated PL/SQL testing
