What you will do

• Lead tax advisory for business segments, identifying risks and opportunities related to permanent establishment and transfer pricing.
• Manage group projects including restructuring, transfer pricing transformation, and intercompany debt rationalization.
• Handle quarterly group tax reporting, including UK and overseas tax packs and consolidation.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and employment tax, including IR35 determinations and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
• Coordinate external advisers and manage tax budgeting and corporate tax filing for UK entities.
• Prepare tax notes for UK statutory financial statements and reports for the Japan head office.

Requirements

• CTA qualified or equivalent
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in VAT, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
• Experience managing cross-border and international transactions.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the business.
• Ability to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• ADIT qualification or equivalent.
• Previous tax compliance and advisory experience in a top 10 accounting firm.
• Experience managing a team of tax professionals.
• Proficiency in tax calculation software (Onesource, iXBRL) and ERP systems (SAP, Unit 4).
