TL;DR

Prototype Wire Person (Satellite Communications): Produce high quality satellite communications equipment through electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, and soldering with an accent on panel wiring, cabling crimping, rack wiring, and PCB assembly. Focus on building sub-assemblies and complete systems to drawings and procedures, monitoring product quality, and ensuring high standards.

Location: Onsite in Tring, Hertfordshire, England, UK. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.

What you will do

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and complete systems to drawings and build procedures.
• Conduct panel wiring, cabling assembly, crimping, and rack wiring.
• Assemble and rework PCBs, including through-hole and surface mount soldering.
• Wire test boxes and continuously monitor product quality to meet production targets.
• Manage security of information per the Information Security Policy.

Requirements

• Experience of electrical/mechanical assembly and wiring, including prototype wiring.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and work accurately to procedures.
• Attention to detail, high standards, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
• Creative thinker and eager learner.
