What you will do

• Provide L2 technical support for database systems and data loader processes in Data Analytics and Process Control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Support end-users with database and data integration challenges.
• Monitor and maintain automated systems, alerting, and performance metrics.
• Follow Agile frameworks and ITIL/incident management processes in 24x7 support operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering field
• 3-5 years in database engineering or administration support
• Ability to work on-site in Kulim, Malaysia with 12-hour shifts
• Experience with relational databases and automated monitoring/alerting.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Flexible mindset for mission-critical L2 support.

Nice to have

• SQL query writing and optimization.
• Major platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Database concepts: tables, indexes, views, stored procedures.
• Backup/recovery, monitoring tools, Linux/Windows support.
• Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Server Always On.
• Python, Java scripting for automation.
