Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States; onsite at the Salt Lake City office

What you will do

• Architect and implement a cloud-native post-trade platform.
• Own production services end to end, from design and deployment through incident response.
• Lead migration workstreams from on-premises systems to AWS and GCP, including incremental rollout and dual-run validation.
• Develop AI-agent and AI-enabled tooling for specification, implementation, testing, reconciliation analysis, and operational diagnostics.
• Guide architecture across a polyglot codebase, review critical code, define orchestration patterns, and mentor engineers.
• Build infrastructure and DevOps capabilities, including CDK stacks, CI/CD pipelines, container image pipelines, and multi-region deployment automation.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience owning complex cloud-based production systems on AWS.
• Deep hands-on Java experience building distributed calculation engines and event-driven services.
• Experience with microservices, gRPC/REST APIs, and managed AWS services such as Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions, Aurora, ElastiCache, and S3.
• Experience using AI agents or AI-based tooling for enterprise software development, analysis, diagnostics, or migration validation.
• Strong testing discipline and deep knowledge of distributed systems, data consistency, failure modes, observability, and operating financial infrastructure at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, plus strong communication and stakeholder-influence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS serverless infrastructure, EventBridge, CloudWatch, AWS CDK with TypeScript, Docker, and Fargate task definitions.
• Experience with graph-based execution orchestration, DAG scheduling, topological sorting, and data dependency resolution.
• Experience migrating monolithic systems to cloud-native architectures with zero-downtime cutover.
• Experience with polyglot monorepos, remote execution, protobuf code generation, and multi-region deployments.
• Post-trade processing or high-volume financial risk systems expertise, along with agentic AI workflows or prompt engineering.
