What you will do

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, and cycle time.
• Analyze process performance using statistical tools and perform root cause analysis to resolve bottlenecks.
• Select and qualify diamond tools for materials such as ZnSe, Ge, and Si, optimizing feed and speed to minimize wear.
• Establish and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong materials science background, particularly with optical materials and surface integrity.
• Practical knowledge of 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Experience working within ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9100 environments.
• Willingness to work shifts as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume optics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in single-point diamond turning of precision components.
• Certification or advanced familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma.
