Hardware Engineer (Advanced CMOS)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Irvine facility, California, USA

Annual base salary: $108,000–$172,800, plus discretionary bonus and equity opportunities.

What you will do

• Evaluate foundry technology offerings and define technology platforms for IP and product designs.
• Assess and benchmark power, performance, area, and cost across advanced process nodes.
• Design, verify, extract, simulate, and evaluate device and circuit test structures.
• Perform silicon characterization and model-to-silicon correlation, including DC, AC, and RF analysis.
• Support design and chip teams with reliability, design enablement, tape-out quality, and custom device infrastructure readiness.
• Collaborate with design, platform technology, operations, CAD, EDA, and foundry partner teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience after a bachelor's degree, 6+ years after a master's degree, or 3+ years after a PhD, including recent work with advanced FinFET or GAA nodes.
• Strong knowledge of advanced CMOS technology, including FEOL, MEOL, BEOL, and design-technology interactions.
• Hands-on experience with test structure design, DRC/LVS verification, extraction, SPICE simulation, silicon characterization, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with analog and digital design flows and CAD tools, plus experience working with design teams and foundry partners.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, multitasking, and project management skills.
