Location: Hybrid based in New York City (4 days/week in office) with daytime on-call rotation.

What you will do

• Own design, implementation, and evolution of GKE-based Kubernetes infrastructure across hirify.global and partner environments.
• Build and maintain Terraform modular infrastructure library with automated testing on GCP, Cloudflare, and AWS.
• Architect and maintain GitLab CI/CD shared pipeline templates for all engineering teams including security scanning.
• Own self-hosted in-cluster software like GitLab, ArgoCD, NGINX Ingress, and implement security/compliance controls for SOC2/HIPAA.
• Drive disaster recovery: design failover scenarios, author runbooks, lead DR tests.
• Develop AI-powered operations tooling, monitor production reliability, respond to incidents, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE
• Deep hands-on with Kubernetes ecosystem: Helm, Helmfile, ArgoCD, Kyverno, cert-manager, NGINX Ingress
• Extensive GCP experience: GKE, Cloud SQL, Memorystore, IAM, Workload Identity
• Strong Terraform: modular architecture, multi-env provisioning, automated testing
• Advanced GitLab CI/CD and GitOps practices
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go

• Advanced Bash scripting
• Secrets management: Akeyless or HashiCorp Vault
• DB admin: PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB with DR
• Datadog or similar observability
