What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers building and supporting enterprise applications
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural guidance for Java/Spring backend, Angular frontend, and SQL data stores
• Own scalable, maintainable, secure application designs aligned with business needs
• Guide modernization of legacy systems toward modular, cloud-based architectures
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical direction and delivery plans
• Promote best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
• 7+ years software engineering experience, 3+ years in technical leadership or people management
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/Spring enterprise applications, Angular or modern front-end frameworks, relational databases (SQL Server)
• Proven ability to lead teams, guide architecture, deliver complex solutions
• Experience modernizing legacy systems in regulated environments like insurance
• Working knowledge of Azure and CI/CD to guide teams
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
