Lead Product Manager

TL;DR

Lead Product Manager (Safety Net/Tax Benefits/Criminal Justice): Own and set direction and strategy for product or program areas supporting government services with an accent on stakeholder alignment, agile execution, and user-centered solutions. Focus on leading cross-functional teams to solve complex problems, deliver impactful digital services, and drive systems change for underserved communities.

Location: Remote (in the U.S. only; must reside full-time within the United States). Collaborative working hours 10 AM - 3 PM PT.

Salary: $128,945 - $157,850 annually

What you will do

• Partner with teams to define and own product strategy and execution for projects or programs.
• Communicate product vision, drive stakeholder alignment internally and externally.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams (design, research, engineering) to test, develop, and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate on prototypes, risk mitigation, team processes, and escalating issues.
• Tie efforts to organizational strategy and drive portfolio alignment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Medicaid/healthcare/insurance or SNAP experience.
• Proven agile methodology leadership for high-quality product development.
• Ability to use user research, usability testing, and data analytics for decisions.
• Strong product judgment, strategy docs, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Experience making trade-offs, forecasting, planning, and advocating for product issues.

Nice to have

• Product advisory/consulting in government, civic tech, or regulated industries.
• Medicaid or SNAP (Payment Error Rate) experience.
