Security Engineer, Operations (Aerospace)

Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 + equity

What you will do

• Monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM, endpoint, network, and cloud systems.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, handling containment, remediation, and root-cause analysis.
• Operate and maintain security tooling, including endpoint protection, IDS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Support firewall, VPN, and network access controls in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Perform vulnerability scans and track remediation efforts across all corporate IT systems.
• Develop and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder) as defined by ITAR.
• 5+ years of experience in security operations or engineering roles.
• 2+ years of development experience in Python, C++, Rust, or Go (or a STEM degree).
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• Ability to work with high-visibility, mission-critical, and sensitive systems.
