Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Senior Security Engineer (Operations): Implement, operate, and maintain security controls across corporate IT environments, including identity and access management, endpoint security, network security, SaaS platforms, and cloud services with an accent on day-to-day operations, investigations, and incident response. Focus on configuring identity systems, deploying endpoint tooling, managing network controls, monitoring alerts, vulnerability management, and supporting compliance.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) per ITAR export control regulations.

Salary: $125,000 – $155,000 + equity

What you will do

• Implement and maintain security controls for identity, endpoints, networks, SaaS, and cloud services.
• Support operations, investigations, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Configure identity systems, role-based access, and authentication policies.
• Deploy endpoint security tools like MDM and EDR across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Partner with IT teams on network security, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Contribute to security automation, architecture, compliance, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years in security operations or engineering, preferably in startups.
• 2+ years development with Python, C++, Rust, Go or equivalent; OR bachelor’s in CS, engineering, or STEM.
• Knowledge of OS, networking, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with mission-critical systems and incident response.
• Must be U.S. Person per ITAR.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
