Location: Lakewood, CO (local/in-office/hybrid) or full-time remote within the United States. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Hourly Rate: $33 - $42/hr W2 (based on the Denver, Colorado labor market).

What you will do

• Develop protection and control schematics, AC/DC elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, and SCADA communications interfaces.
• Support drawing packages at 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC milestones.
• Coordinate with protection & control engineers, substation physical engineers, civil/structural engineers, CAD technicians, project managers, and clients.
• Perform internal checks for accuracy, completeness, compliance with standards, and alignment with project scope.
• Maintain organized documentation and continue developing knowledge of utility standards, relay schemes, and substation protocols.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in substation protection and control design or related electrical design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (E-Verify).
