Lean Transformation Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own and drive a site-wide Lean roadmap aligned with business strategy using Hoshin Kanri.
• Partner with the Site Director and leadership team to prioritize high-impact opportunities and deliver measurable gains in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
• Facilitate high-impact Kaizen events focused on flow, constraint removal, cost transformation, and high-volume, high-revenue value streams.
• Embed Lean thinking into daily decisions through standard work, daily management, visual systems, and accountability.
• Develop operators, supervisors, and leaders into capable problem solvers and build a pipeline of future Lean leaders.
• Challenge and influence leaders who do not report to the role while ensuring initiatives deliver tracked, sustainable results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; industrial engineering is strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
• Proficiency in Gemba Kaizen, Value Stream Analysis, Visual and Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work Development, and 3P Layout.
• Ability to facilitate Kaizen Events using these methods and tools and identify future Lean-minded personnel.
• Experience leading cost reduction and process flow improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with 3P, TAKT Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, and Kaizen Newspaper.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to provide leadership and strategic direction as part of the site leadership team.

Nice to have

• Lean Master certification in TPS or Danaher Business System certification.
• Project management experience with a proven record of meeting timelines or proactively adjusting plans to achieve goals.
• Agile certification such as SCALE.
• Change management certification such as PROSCI.
• Strong analytical background in SPC, hypothesis testing, regression, and correlation analysis.
• Problem-solving experience with 5-Whys, 8D, Shainin, or similar methods.
