3rd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States; third-shift schedule. Travel may include up to 5% domestic. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Expected compensation: $95,591–$116,834 annually, including base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Directly supervise, lead, coach, and develop a manufacturing team on the third shift.
• Support a positive, safety-first culture and uphold environmental health and safety standards.
• Ensure daily production schedules are achieved and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Develop manpower plans and interview and hire candidates to staff the team.
• Apply Lean principles, standard work, 5S, and tiered accountability to improve assembly, quality, safety, ergonomics, organization, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate across organizational levels and functions and provide monthly operating performance reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified before starting.
• At least three years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• At least two years of supervisory and/or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified before starting.
• Knowledge of relevant hirify.global Fall Protection processes and software.
• Experience with manufacturing production reporting systems.
• Experience leading or participating in Six Sigma projects or Lean Manufacturing activities.
• Diverse experience with manufacturing technology and operations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with external and internal customers, employees, and plant leadership.
• Influence skills for supporting positive change acceptance within the work team.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, including value stream analysis, waste elimination, 5S, and poka-yoke.
