TL;DR

Location: Hybrid; Must be based in or be able to relocate to Bellevue, Washington, United States

Salary: $99,000 – $173,000 per year

The Pokémon Company International manages the Pokémon property outside of Asia, overseeing brand management, licensing, and marketing.

What you will do

  • Provide legal support to Marketing and Merchandise Licensing teams in a collaborative fashion.
  • Manage triage and intake for routine marketing legal requests, including prioritization and communication.
  • Conduct first-pass legal review of assets including social, web, CRM, paid media, and influencer materials.
  • Research and interpret laws regarding advertising, promotions, consumer protection, and intellectual property.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate routine agreements, terms, and releases.
  • Create and maintain scalable tools such as templates, playbooks, and disclaimer libraries.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of relevant professional legal experience.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Bar license in good standing in Washington state or another jurisdiction (must register in Washington upon hire).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong experience providing legal support for marketing, advertising, and digital/influencer matters.

Nice to have

  • In-house legal experience in interactive entertainment, consumer products, or media.
  • Experience working with multinational teams and cross-cultural communication.
