Salary: $110,000 - $200,000 + equity

What you will do

• Develop novel algorithms for precise pointing and slewing of large, flexible structures in earth orbit and beyond.
• Create simulation and modeling tools, including mission design and 6-DOF simulation development.
• Execute detailed trade studies for navigation and control of K2 mechanisms.
• Own and execute the Verification and Validation (V&V) plan for mechanism GNC to drive the system to flight readiness.
• Commit code to the 6-DOF simulator and own portions of the GNC flight software.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor other engineers to build out the GNC organization.

Requirements

• Experience with GNC actuator/sensor sizing, selection, and system design.
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, C/C++, or Matlab for algorithm development and simulation.
• Experience with navigation, specifically Extended Kalman Filters (EKF).
• Background in trajectory analysis, modeling, and mission design.
• Experience with V&V of GNC flight software using HITL and HOOTL testing.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR regulations.
