Location: Must be based in Munich, Germany (On-site)

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end simulation pipelines, from physics assumptions to machine-defining load cases.
  • Build and interface finite-element and reduced-order models with the core codebase.
  • Define technical interfaces and requirements with engineering teams.
  • Execute large-scale parameter sweeps and simulation campaigns to resolve machine-level trade-offs.
  • Benchmark and validate models against analytical limits and experimental data.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master's degree in physics, engineering, or an adjacent field.
  • Proven experience in multiphysics analysis driving hardware decisions in complex industries like aerospace, accelerators, or semiconductors.
  • Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Git, CI/CD, and the PyData stack.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between theoretical physics and 3D geometry.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on automation, reproducibility, and validation.
