What you will do

• Define and track streaming quality metrics across millions of daily sessions and drive root cause analysis for degradations.
• Own the technology roadmap for connection protocols (WebRTC, RTSP), proxy infrastructure, and codec modernization.
• Drive cloud infrastructure cost optimization and migration programs on Azure using Kubernetes and microservices.
• Lead technical integrations with third-party video partners and acquired subsidiaries.
• Coordinate camera firmware update rollouts across the device fleet to ensure safe and timely shipping.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and communication for programs spanning multiple engineering teams.

Requirements

• Deep technical knowledge of video/media systems, including WebRTC, TURN relays, transcoding, and SDP offer/answer exchange.
• Data-driven approach to product decisions based on p50/p95 latency data and error rates.
• Ability to analyze system design documents, follow code reviews, and read log files.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with competing priorities and shifting timelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Background as a software engineer, SRE, or platform engineer.
• Experience in IoT, security, or connected device ecosystems.
• Familiarity with media server frameworks such as Janus or Location.
• Experience with cloud cost management in Azure or AWS.
