What you will do

• Create and maintain test returns for complex federal and state tax returns to ensure strict compliance with IRS regulations.
• Design, document, and execute detailed test scenarios to validate calculations and overall software functionality.
• Perform detailed validations of software outputs against manual calculations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure test scenarios reflect real-world tax preparation challenges.
• Document test cases, calculation logic, and results to support development and QA processes.
• Stay current on federal and state legislative updates affecting taxation and reporting.

Requirements

• Experience with business return preparation, specifically forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1040, 1041, or 990.
• Proficiency with tax software tools such as CCH Axcess, GoSystem RS, ONESOURCE, Corptax, UltraTax, or Lacerte.
• Multiple years of experience in the tax software industry, return development, and QA.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Familiarity with LLMs and modern AI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
