Clinical Content- Physician (Clinical AI Strategist - UpToDate®, M.D.)

Location: U.S. locations; remote or hybrid with 8 days per month in the office for candidates within 50 miles of a hirify.global office. Travel is approximately one week every six weeks for team meetings and collaborative planning.

Salary: $173,500–$310,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the clinical reasoning framework across Clinical AI initiatives.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Editorial, and AI teams to translate clinical reasoning into scalable AI capabilities.
• Define clinical indices, decision pathways, reasoning frameworks, and evaluation approaches for real-world clinical decision-making.
• Develop clinical test sets, reasoning benchmarks, red-teaming protocols, safety evaluations, and expert review processes.
• Translate clinician and customer feedback into improvements in AI system behavior and clinical content strategy.
• Represent hirify.global through white papers, conference presentations, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• MD, DO, PharmD, Advanced Practice Provider, or equivalent clinical degree; M.D. strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of clinical practice with depth in patient care and experience in areas such as patient safety, quality improvement, clinical research, medical education, clinical informatics, or publishing.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic reasoning, therapeutic decision-making, uncertainty management, and evidence-based clinical decision-making.
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including generative AI and large language models, with the ability to apply clinical expertise to AI development and evaluation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills, including the ability to translate clinical reasoning into system logic.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments and building alignment across clinical, engineering, product, and editorial teams.

Nice to have

• Active clinical practice and board certification.
• Valid medical license in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience in AI, informatics, machine learning, or digital health innovation.
• Leadership experience guiding complex initiatives or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting senior leaders through strategic analysis and written briefings.
