What you will do

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice matching, ERP-based invoicing, payments, vendor management, and collections.
• Perform reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, ERP-to-QuickBooks Online, and Shopify integrations.
• Oversee payroll via PEO, including submissions, PTO tracking, reconciliations, and W-2/1099 reporting.
• Handle sales and use tax compliance, NJ filings, and multi-state e-commerce nexus tracking.
• Lead month-end closes and financial reporting: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, weekly updates to leadership.
• Manage new hire paperwork, onboarding, personnel files, benefit enrollment, I-9 verification, and basic compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-charge bookkeeping in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity small businesses
• Advanced QuickBooks Online, Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas), ERP-to-accounting reconciliations
• Experience with e-commerce accounting: Shopify reconciliation, multi-channel tracking
• Solid payroll processing, sales tax compliance, financial reporting knowledge
• Ability to work on-site in Belleville, NJ, 20–25 hours/week, Monday–Friday
