Loan Processor (Mortgage): Accurately setting up new purchase applications, issuing pre-approval letters, processing and disclosing loans, and overseeing every loan from contract to close with an accent on borrower qualifications review, documentation management, and stakeholder communication. Focus on ensuring 95% on-time closings, TRID compliance, meeting tight deadlines, and resolving issues proactively.

Location: Melville, NY office, operating within Eastern Standard Time Zone working hours to support the East Coast region.

Pay Range: Hourly Rate $27.00 - $30.00 (bonus plan eligible).

What you will do

• Serve as primary contact between borrowers, loan originators, branch managers, and realtors.
• Review loan applications, verify cash, credit, and income qualifications within 24 hours.
• Track documents in Encompass, identify discrepancies, and communicate red flags promptly.
• Issue accurate pre-approvals, disclose loans TRID-compliant, and provide borrower updates.
• Ensure 95% on-time closings by monitoring pipelines and addressing choke points daily.
• Handle payment scenarios, onboard contracts, and attend weekly pipeline calls.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ current conventional fixed/ARM, HELOC, and construction mortgage loan processing experience.
• State and Federal NMLS License preferred.
• Experience with RESPA, mortgage regulations, loan documents, and major investors’ guidelines.
• Working knowledge of Encompass, DU, LP; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and analysis skills.
