NDT Level II Technician (FPI NAS-410 Castings)

TL;DR

NDT Level II Technician (FPI NAS-410 Castings): Perform examinations of castings using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection in accordance with NAS-410 standards and procedures with an accent on compliance, reporting results, and client interfacing. Focus on guiding trainees, organizing OJT, and solving problems in industrial manufacturing environments.

Location: Onsite in Winstead, CT. U.S. Persons only per ITAR requirements.

What you will do

• Perform NDT examinations of materials, specifically FPI on castings, per procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
• Provide OJT and guidance to trainees while exercising responsibility within method scope and limitations.
• Interface with managers and clients to determine work scope, priorities, and meet expectations.
• Prepare written instructions and organize/report examination results.
• Work independently, support team members, and handle other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Level II FPI certification per NAS-410 with documentation of education, training, and experience.
• Castings inspection experience with FPI; working knowledge of industrial environments and manufacturing processes.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; pass drug screen.
• U.S. Person status required for ITAR compliance (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, around equipment, with hazardous materials; lift 100 pounds; shifts up to 12 hours/day, 7 days/week.
