What you will do

• Develop inspection methods and procedures for additive manufacturing and advanced joining.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to establish inspection plans and design for inspectability.
• Execute probability of detection (POD) studies and qualification plans.
• Procure and commission necessary inspection equipment for production.
• Interface with customers and government agencies regarding additive manufactured hardware.
• Perform third-party audits of nondestructive testing vendors.

Requirements

• Lawful access to information subject to US export controls.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of NDE experience in aerospace or defense.
• Current ASNT level III certification (or equivalent) in ultrasonic testing (UT).

Nice to have

• Master's or doctorate degree specializing in nondestructive inspection methods.
• Additional level II or III certifications in RT, ET, PT, or other advanced techniques.
• Knowledge of AMS, ASTM, MIL, and AWS industry specifications.
• Experience with additive manufacturing, castings, welding, composites, or structural bonds.
• Experience with NDE process automation and data analysis.
