What you will do

• Develop and optimize embedded firmware for microcontrollers and SoCs used in hirify.global boards.
• Perform hardware bring-up through early diagnostics, power-on sequencing, and low-level driver development.
• Build reliable boot, update, recovery, telemetry, logging, and power-management capabilities.
• Create and maintain strong validation coverage using unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Collaborate across hardware, validation, and software teams to define firmware architecture and maintainability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware or low-level system software development.
• Strong C/C++ fundamentals across memory layout, interrupts, concurrency, and bare-metal or RTOS-based development.
• Hands-on experience bringing up hardware platforms and debugging at the hardware-software boundary.
• Comfortable working with bootloaders, embedded Linux, drivers, and host management interfaces.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zephyr RTOS.
• Knowledge of power and thermal management or secure boot.
• Experience with CI and Python-based automation.
