What you will do

• Support implementation of the TCP/RAS/4003 project on peatland fire emissions measurement and regional scaling.
• Develop a summary review report on 15 years of peatland fire measurement techniques, including area, depth, and emissions profiles from Indonesia research.
• Collaborate with research institutions on satellite data, remote sensing, and new methodologies for peat fire dynamics.
• Contribute techniques and indicators for UNFCCC NDC monitoring frameworks in ASEAN countries.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in forestry, environmental science, natural resource management, fire ecology, peatland management, or related field (or bachelor's with 2 extra years experience).
• Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing peatland fire prevention, preparedness, and response in tropical/subtropical ecosystems.
