Field Service Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Remote (preferably Southeastern USA); requires up to 70% travel (approx. 200 days a year)

What you will do

• Perform start-ups, commissioning services, and condition assessments for manufacturing equipment.
• Execute maintenance, tune-ups, and outage planning for Pulp & Energy Solutions products.
• Provide emergency assistance, root cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Oversee projects and manage all aspects of leading sub-contractor crews.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales personnel to diagnose and provide technical solutions during shutdowns.
• Develop key customer relationships and prepare detailed service reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of related hands-on mechanical experience (e.g., maintenance mechanic, mechanical construction foreman, or technician).
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, millwrighting, and machining.
• Ability to travel by air or automobile up to 200 days a year.
• Must be based in the USA (preferably Southeastern region).
