TL;DR

Field Service Engineer (BESS): Delivering onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on technical support for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems with an accent on maintenance, contractor management, and performance optimization. Focus on leading quality control, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating with global teams to drive system reliability and customer success.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) Taiwan. Willingness to accept assignments requiring extensive overnight travel, including weekends and holidays.

What you will do

  • Provide timely responses to customer service needs and support training during commissioning and system lifecycle.
  • Deliver onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and technical support for BESS equipment.
  • Manage third-party contractors, plan maintenance activities, and audit safety, quality, and performance.
  • Lead quality control, verify work against Quality Plans, and manage operations using CMMS tools.
  • Maintain inventories, tools, and assets while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like Operations, Performance Analysts, Deployment, and Product Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Wind, Solar, or industrial/utility O&M, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
  • English communication skills (written and verbal) sufficient for daily collaboration with global teams.
  • Hands-on field experience in utility-scale or process-heavy industrial environments, including testing, installation, commissioning.
  • Experience managing contractors, multiple projects, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Strong communication skills to motivate colleagues, clients, suppliers, and contractors.
