Principal Hardware Engineer (Medtech)

Salary: $140,800 - $211,200 USD

What you will do

• Serve as hardware lead on Physiologic Parameters team projects, supporting independently or with small teams.
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept to retirement, including design, implementation, and standards application.
• Engage with clinicians, customers, and KOLs to understand use environments and inform design decisions.
• Apply knowledge of physiological signals and human physiology to prioritize tradeoffs and align with clinical scenarios.
• Mentor colleagues and direct lower-level professionals on R&D initiatives for new technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related with 7+ years experience (or advanced degree + 5 years).
• Demonstrated embedded hardware design: circuit design, simulation, PCB layout.
• Experience leading embedded hardware teams through product lifecycle.
• Ability to work in local and global teams.
• For non-US degrees: must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

Nice to have

• Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
• Medical device development, FDA/MDR regulations, design control.
• Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Python/C/C++ for testing/prototyping.
• Systems thinking, risk management (DFMEAs), six sigma.
• Pulse oximetry, electromechanical, tissue optics experience.
