Focus on investigating critical escalations, automating monitoring subtasks, and scaling detection and enforcement systems.

US only: San Francisco, New York City, Washington, DC offices or remote within US. Includes on-call rotation for urgent escalations.

What you will do

• Scope and implement abuse monitoring for new product launches.
• Improve and automate processes for sustaining monitoring on existing products.
• Prototype and productionize detection, review, and enforcement systems for major harms.
• Collaborate with Product, Policy, Ops, Investigative, and Engineering teams on risks, data, and tooling.
• Investigate critical escalations not caught by existing safety systems.

Requirements

• At least 4 years experience in technical analysis and detection using SQL and Python.
• Experience in trust and safety, working with policy, enforcement, and engineering teams; investigative mindset.
• Basic data engineering (building tables, data pipelines), machine learning principles, and production code.
• Experience scaling and automating processes, especially with language models.
• Comfort with sensitive content including sexual, violent, or disturbing material.
