TL;DR

Student IT Architecture: Hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, system/data design, and technology strategy with an accent on creating diagrams, models, and documentation. Focus on analyzing requirements, participating in technology evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on governance initiatives.

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule at Toronto Office. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: $25.00–$29.00 hourly

What you will do

  • Assist in creating and maintaining architecture diagrams, models, and documentation.
  • Support analysis of business and technical requirements for new solutions.
  • Participate in technology evaluations and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Help maintain architecture repositories and ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for assessments.
  • Contribute to presentations and documentation for architecture governance meetings.

Requirements

  • Working towards a university degree in Computer Science or related engineering, ideally 2nd or 3rd year.
  • Must be in a registered co-op program.
  • Available full-time for the co-op term duration.
  • Foundational knowledge of developing and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of system architecture concepts (Monolithic vs Microservices).
  • Previous knowledge of scripting languages (Groovy, Python, Ruby, Perl, Linux/Unix shell) is an asset.
  • Experience in agile/kanban with JIRA/Confluence preferred.
