What you will do

• Contribute to field-engineering solutions and architecture reviews for large-scale data environments.
• Perform deep-dive diagnostics regarding performance, scalability, and deployment of distributed systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy reusable automation and AI frameworks to enable observability across various data ecosystems.
• Collaborate with Field Architects to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose improvements.
• Work with cloud-native platforms and Open Source components including Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
• Bridge the gap between technical engineering and customer value across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field at the University of Waterloo.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including managing Pods, Services, Deployments, and StatefulSets.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
• Knowledge of the big data ecosystem, including ingestion, processing, and storage technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
