HSE Manager (Energy Storage)

What you will do

• Act as the competent safety advisor (SiFa) in accordance with the German Arbeitssicherheitsgesetz (ASiG) and DGUV regulation 2.
• Provide professional HSE advice to management and project teams to ensure compliance with German occupational health and safety legislation.
• Perform site inspections, safety audits, and hazard identification procedures (Gefährdungsbeurteilungen) at project locations.
• Review contractor risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and investigate incidents or near misses.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 health and safety management system requirements.
• Collaborate with the European Environmental Manager to ensure environmental compliance at the project level.

Requirements

• Qualification as Fachkraft Arbeitssicherheit (SiFa) according to ASiG and DGUV regulation 2.
• Proficient in German and English.
• Valid EU driving license.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial settings.
• Completed degree in environmental sciences, occupational safety, or a comparable technical field.
• Thorough understanding of German occupational safety laws and DGUV standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in renewable energy, battery storage, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting environmental compliance and ISO 14001 systems.
• Experience working within EPC or infrastructure project environments.
