What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve emergency preparedness plans and communication protocols
• Evaluate and strengthen crisis management processes, identifying improvement opportunities
• Ensure COMAH compliance across all phases and propose mitigation measures
• Assess physical security risks and manage security threats for critical infrastructure
• Design and deliver emergency response training for employees, contractors, and clients
• Support senior leadership during live emergencies and lead incident investigations with root cause analysis
• Collaborate with emergency services, regulators, and stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in continuity, disaster, emergency, or risk management
• Significant experience in high-hazard industrial environments (petrochemical, energy, oil and gas, hydrocarbon processing)
• Proven COMAH knowledge and hands-on experience delivering improvement plans
• Experience of Silver or Gold Command and incident management in high-hazard or petrochemical settings
• Crisis management experience in a large or matrix organisation
• Background in emergency planning or business continuity as primary function
• Experience leading emergency response and advising senior management during live incidents
• Strong investigation capability with root cause analysis and formal methodology
