TL;DR

Senior Operational Risk Manager (2LOD) (Fintech): Maintaining and developing the operational risk framework for a digital bank with an accent on risk taxonomy, RCSA processes, control reporting, and risk events policy. Focus on challenging first line implementation, conducting independent assurance testing, and supporting ICAAP Pillar 2A assessments.

Location: Hybrid in London (2-3 days a week in office), option to work from abroad up to 120 days a year (subject to right to work in the country of choice).

What you will do

  • Work closely with Director of Operational Risk and specialists across the business.
  • Maintain operational risk framework including taxonomy, assessment matrix, RCSA, reporting, and risk events policy.
  • Communicate framework to first line and ensure effective implementation.
  • Oversee collation of MI and materials for executive Risk Management Committee.
  • Own and maintain governance, risk, and control system.
  • Manage second line assurance work through testing, challenge, and insight.
  • Support annual ICAAP Pillar 2A assessment for operational risk.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operational risk management within financial services.
  • Deep understanding of industry best practices in processes, controls, risk analysis, and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge across operational risk sub-types, especially internal fraud, supplier risk, finance processes, or business continuity.
  • Strategic thinking and advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills for senior stakeholders.
