What you will do

• Lead H&S oversight for events, broadcasts, video content, and property activities, including risk assessments, safety plans, and emergency arrangements.
• Provide expert advice on creative briefs, production plans, and high-risk activities like temporary structures, crowd safety, and work at height.
• Act as senior H&S adviser with authority to intervene, escalate, or suspend activities; manage incident response, investigations, and lessons learned.
• Develop and maintain H&S governance, KPIs, risk registers, and assurance processes aligned to ISO 45001.
• Build relationships with regulators, authorities, and partners; strengthen contractor and supplier compliance.
• Lead and develop the H&S team, deliver training, and promote a pragmatic safety culture.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in H&S within events, broadcast, media, production, or similar complex environments.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (essential); CMIOSH (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and its application in live events, productions, and dynamic workplaces.
• Experience in event risk management, emergency planning, contractor control, incident investigation, and H&S management systems.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, balance risk with creativity and commercial priorities.
• Strong communication, analytical, and IT skills for reporting and improvement.
