What you will do

• Build trust and credibility for Oura products among members, physicians, scientists, and health systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, data science, and algorithm teams to define clinical features for metabolic health.
• Design and oversee clinical validation studies to demonstrate product performance in metabolic space.
• Work with regulatory, quality, and clinical outcomes teams to build protocols and drive submissions.
• Serve as clinical voice across organization, integrating latest medical insights into product decisions.
• Represent Oura externally to scientific audiences, payors, partners, clinicians, and health systems.

Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS/Consultant/GP (or equivalent) with deep expertise in endocrinology, metabolic medicine, or related specialty.
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology or related specialty with active medical license.
• At least 5 years practicing medicine in relevant field.
• Prior experience in health product development or digital health in regulated environments (SaMD, wearables, diagnostics).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to diverse teams including leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and executing pivotal clinical studies for regulated health products.
• Familiarity with algorithm/ML development in clinical context for metabolic signals.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and wearable signals and their physiologic origins.
• Experience partnering with regulatory bodies (FDA, EU MDR/IVDR) on metabolic health tools.
