Salary: $169,000–$211,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy large-scale AI systems and services, including models, pipelines, product experiences, and infrastructure.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap for AI feature development, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor engineers in best practices and productionizing AI technologies.
• Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to translate business problems into high-impact AI solutions using LLMs, vector databases, and ML.
• Embed AI as a repeatable mechanism in workflows through experimentation and validation.
• Lead in AI safety, ensuring alignment with company values and mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years building and scaling production AI/ML systems.
• Expertise in scalable backend systems.
• Deep knowledge of MLOps, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and AI frameworks (TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, Transformers).
• Experience with modern AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.
• Permanent US work authorization.

Nice to have

• History of AI development from early ML/NN to LLMs.
• Experience monitoring and debugging production AI systems, including optimizations.
• Interest or experience in edge/on-device inference or training/fine-tuning models.
