What you will do

• Analyze search and retrieval performance including ranking quality, relevance, query behavior, and user interactions to identify optimization opportunities.
• Define and standardize evaluation metrics (e.g., NDCG, MAP, recall, precision, CTR) and support GenAI-dependent applications.
• Design and lead A/B testing frameworks, ensuring statistical rigor and partnering with product and data science teams.
• Build and evolve dashboards for search performance tracking and enable self-service analytics.
• Work with large-scale datasets on platforms like Databricks and Spark, ensuring data quality and instrumentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with search data scientists, engineers, and product teams to influence decisions.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent; ~3–5+ years in data analysis or analytics roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for large-scale analysis.
• Advanced experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, matplotlib, seaborn).
• Experience with Databricks or similar platforms, experimentation design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of search/retrieval metrics (NDCG, recall, precision) and translating data into actionable insights.

Nice to have

• PhD in relevant field.
• Experience with search, ranking, or recommendation systems and information retrieval concepts.
• Familiarity with clickstream data, ML-based ranking, RAG systems, or GenAI applications.
