What you will do

• Architect the inference pipeline that turns family data and behavioral signals into a context layer for LLMs.
• Manage model selection and hosting strategies, deciding between self-hosted, API-based, or fine-tuned models.
• Build scalable serving infrastructure with a focus on latency budgets, batching, caching, and graceful degradation.
• Develop evaluation loops and harnesses to move beyond "vibes-based" iteration to measurable product improvement.
• Optimize the cost model, tracking spend per user and implementing context compression or model routing.
• Implement high-standard safety, privacy, and encryption controls at the infrastructure layer.

Requirements

• Deep engineering experience building and running production AI systems at meaningful scale.
• Proficiency with modern LLM serving tools such as vLLM, TGI, or SGLang.
• Ability to build reliable cloud systems from the ground up and manage infrastructure costs.
• Experience with agent systems, retrieval pipelines, or long-context personalization.
• Expertise in privacy architecture for multi-user systems with varying access rights.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
