TL;DR
IT Manager: Assess and structure an organically grown IT environment spanning systems administration, security, compliance, and vendor management with an accent on discovery, gap identification, and roadmap development. Focus on optimizing infrastructure, enforcing policies, managing MSP relationships, and leading IT projects to align with business needs.
Location: Fully onsite at LoDo/Union Station office in Denver, Colorado. Not considering remote, hybrid, or out-of-area candidates.
Salary: $120,000-$150,000/year

What you will do
- Conduct thorough assessment of current IT environment, identify gaps and risks, and develop prioritized roadmap.
- Administer and optimize corporate systems (Microsoft, Google, Slack, HubSpot, Nutshell), manage endpoint security, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Enforce IT policies, support compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), and monitor security threats.
- Manage MSP and vendor relationships, evaluate performance, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Lead IT projects, evaluate emerging technologies, support onboarding/offboarding, and collaborate cross-functionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5β8 years in IT operations, technical support, or systems administration, including building IT from ground up.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, hardware, software, networking, endpoint management, and access control.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to build business cases without defined budget.
- Collaborative approach, ITIL knowledge; certifications like CompTIA Security+, CCNA, MCSE, AWS a plus.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy equipment.
