Location: Town Hall, Romford, Essex, RM1 3BB, United Kingdom (onsite, travel as required, out-of-hours rota)
Salary: £59,511 - £63,966 pa

What you will do
- Lead delivery of high-quality Leaving Care services in line with legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice
- Ensure effective pathway planning capturing the young person's voice
- Provide supervision, appraisal, and professional development for ~12 staff including Social Workers and Personal Advisors
- Promote relationship-based, face-to-face practice and chair reviews, panels, and multi-agency meetings
- Collaborate with housing, health, education, employment partners and manage budgets
- Maintain robust recording, systems use, and contribute to service development
Requirements
- Relevant Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Experience managing statutory children’s social care or Leaving Care services
- Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice for care leavers
- Proven supervising, coaching, and developing staff experience
- Experience in systemic model of practice
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, organisation, resilience, and adaptability
