Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. Able to work remotely with a dedicated workspace. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship.

Compensation: CAD 70,000 - CAD 135,000 yearly

What you will do

• Write well-designed, testable code and automated tests for Java/Spring Boot microservices.
• Support production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and troubleshoot performance.
• Contribute to technical designs, architecture decisions, and peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and others across the development lifecycle.
• Create and maintain API documentation, applying design patterns and best practices.
• Mentor and learn from senior engineers through active participation in programs.

Requirements

• 1-5 years hands-on Java web app development in agile/SCRUM environments.
• Foundational knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Junit, Maven, RabbitMQ.
• Experience with distributed systems, RESTful services, SQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, communication skills.
• Comfortable with Visual Studio Code and working through ambiguity.
