What you will do

• Design and build features integrating third-party data and systems for partner ecosystem growth.
• Work with AI tools like Claude Code as primary collaborator for specs, code generation, tests, and reviews.
• Define and codify AI-native engineering practices and playbooks for the team and organization.
• Build across full stack as needed, shipping performant experiences to millions of users.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on complex scalable solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, on-call, mentoring, and team processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years backend software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms
• Solid understanding of distributed systems: consistency, fault tolerance, replication, data durability
• Comfortable with AWS cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments
• Heavy user of agentic AI workflows with critical review and ownership
• Growth mindset, collaborative approach, ownership mentality, thoughtful communication

• Stream processing frameworks (Kafka Streams, Flink)
• Schema registries and evolution strategies
• Confluent Platform or Cloud
• CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Maven, Nexus
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog)
