What you will do
- Lead technical solution design, architecture reviews, and execution for platforms.
- Mentor and coach engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers on strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives.
- Define engineering standards, DevOps processes, and technology vendor selections.
- Build and recruit high-performing teams while fostering psychological safety and collaboration.
- Align team with organizational goals and handle production support escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent + 8+ years IT experience, including 5+ in wealth management or similar.
- 3+ years management experience leading technical teams.
- Hands-on with AWS, Python, Lambda, Postgres; data engineering and architecture expertise (preferred).
- Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in agile practices, DevOps, and cross-team collaboration.
Nice to have
- MBA or financial services industry experience.
- Experience with data modeling, 3rd party vendor management, and matrix organizations.
- Product development and business relationship management background.
