TL;DR
Trust Business Development Officer (Financial Services): Driving new fiduciary business opportunities including revocable and irrevocable trusts, estate administration, and wealth management services with an accent on consultative sales, relationship management, and revenue growth. Focus on building referral networks with COIs, delivering training to advisors, and ensuring compliance with fiduciary standards.
Location: Remote anywhere across the United States with 30% travel. Access to corporate offices in Appleton, WI or Minneapolis, MN if located there.
Salary: $73,955 - $100,059 per year

What you will do
- Identify, cultivate, and close new trust and fiduciary relationships to meet revenue and asset growth goals.
- Build and maintain referral relationships with attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and other COIs; represent at networking events.
- Partner with Trust Officers, Portfolio Managers, and Advisors to deliver fiduciary solutions and conduct client discovery meetings.
- Provide sales support and consultation to Field Representatives and independent advisors in client meetings.
- Identify training needs, collaborate on materials, and deliver trainings virtually and in-person.
- Maintain knowledge of trust administration, estate planning, regulations, and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of successful direct selling or sales support in trust services, wealth management, or financial services
- Demonstrated competence in public speaking and training
- Working knowledge of fiduciary principles and estate planning concepts
- Strong sales, networking, relationship-building, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Position requires 30% travel; ability to work with minimal supervision
Nice to have
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor)
- Working knowledge of professional trust services
- Previous business development experience
